Recently I have been trying to pick two colors a month as the focus colors. For the month of November I decided to use brown and yellow. I made simple color posters for each color to help reinforce the focus colors throughout the month. I laminated each for durability.

I also made brown and yellow color cards that can be used as a matching game for young kids. I also laminated the cards for durability.

My oldest daughter tested the cards out as I was making them and insisted I added magnets on the back to place on our magnetic wall that way she could write the words next to them. Which is great because I’m always trying to come up with more ways to get my oldest daughter to practice writing in a way that keeps her interest.

Besides the mess created by the little toys hiding inside the acorns that end up all over the house Alphabet Acorns really is a neat fun alphabet learning toy with a Fall theme. Sometimes my daughters and I hide the acorns and then help a squirrel stuff animal find them.
